Just read a reference to “when TVs were furniture”. My mind then walked straight down memory lane to my childhood in the late 50’s and 60’s.

Father’s Day 2023
Jack was a wonderful father. I remember him today in his prime, at his best, when he mattered most to those he loved, when he could still pretend he liked me. He loved me deeply, but I knew I was a disappointment to him. He was the bar I could not reach. Thinking of you today, Dad. I love you.
Nap
Is it still a nap if you dream?
Birth
There is a moment when your pain, hurts, and failures stop being events and start being your life. They are reborn into that which defines you. It is when you truly see who you are.
Mass Shootings
It’s time for recall votes for legislators who won’t do anything to help reduce mass shootings in our country. We can’t wait for elections. Well, unless we don’t care about how many hundreds will die before election day. #gun #legislation
Shame
I am ashamed to live in #Tennessee today. I have no words to express how angry I am at the players who opened the doors for this type of legislative behavior. It is one thing (still wrong) to be racist and intolerant of opposing viewpoints. It is another (fucking abhorrent) to institutionalize that behavior.
Boundaries
Sometimes children rebel because the boundaries set before them are bullshit.
Pure of Heart
If you would classify yourself as pure of heart, you aren’t.
Tall Tales
When I was your age we had to walk 8 miles into town to the public library in order to play WoT on a Compaq 386 PC via dial-up. That was after the library upgraded to using POTS. Packet loss on tin cans was fucking brutal. #talltales
Patti Smith – Gone Again
I didn’t have this dream where everyone in the world said “fuck it” and listened to Patti Smith’s “Gone Again” album.
Wish I had. #nowplaying
